Current role & Experience

Dr. Brendan K O'Rourke is Senior Lecturer in Business & Society His work examines how different perspectives, including those of experts and non-experts, elites and non-elites, and groups with varying interests and perspectives, shape and influence the economy and futures of business, society and sustainability.

Brendan adopts a critical and constructive approach to public learning, aiming to foster sustainability, democracy, and inclusivity in business and society. He incorporates this perspective into his writing and classroom teachings. Teaching & Supervision

Brendan has successfully supervised seven research post-graduate students, comprising six PhDs and one MPhil. In addition, he has guided numerous award-winning taught masters and undergraduate researchers.

Brendan has served as an external examiner at esteemed institutions such as Oxford University (External PhD examiner), Solent University (undergrade degree), and the National College of Ireland (undergraduate).
