Research Underpinning the Programme  

  • Ms. Edge’s research focuses on the psychological dynamics that drive transformation at the personal, interpersonal, and organisational levels.  
  • She investigates how individuals and teams navigate, resist, and embrace change and how psychology can be strategically integrated into management practices to foster sustainable, impactful change within organisations.

  1. Scholarship Underpinning the Programme  
  • Olivia’s teaching integrates psychological principles into management practices, helping students apply these insights in real-world settings.  
  • She combines her psychotherapist expertise in trauma treatment (including EMDR) with organisational change theories, giving students a holistic understanding of interpersonal dynamics and behavioural patterns in the workplace.  
  • She integrates emerging themes like resilience and emotional intelligence into her courses, preparing future leaders with skills to foster adaptive, healthy work environments.  

Industry and Profession, Civic and Community Engagement, Staff Development  

  • Olivia is a member of MIACP (Member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).  
  • She is also certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a therapy focused on trauma treatment.  
  • Olivia brings her clinical experience into her teaching, creating an interdisciplinary approach to business psychology.
