Phillip Fitzpatrick is a Lecturer in the School of Informatics and Cybersecurity at Technological University Dublin. He brings more than 35 years of experience in the information technology industry, combining extensive academic teaching experience with a distinguished career in technology consulting, cyber security, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, and business leadership.

Prior to joining TU Dublin, Phillip held a variety of senior technical, consulting, sales, and leadership positions across the technology sector, including over eighteen years with Microsoft Ireland and managing the Microsoft Technology Centre. His industry experience spans enterprise architecture, solution architecture, cyber security, business development, project management, technical consultancy, and client relationship management. More recently, he served as Director of Microsoft Services with BearingPoint, helping organisations adopt emerging technologies including Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and Dynamics 365.

Phillip's teaching philosophy is centred on bridging the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that students develop both the theoretical foundations and practical skills required to succeed in modern technology and cyber security roles.
