TU Dublin Process for Environmental Monitoring
- School/Function Safety Arrangements and Risk Assessments will highlight areas that may require environmental monitoring in the University e.g. workshops where machines omit noise or bakeries where exposure to flour dust could occur.
- Environmental monitoring will need to be scheduled by an external consultant to establish for example what the noise levels are and if corrective actions are required.
- The School/ Function contacts the SHW Office and the relevant OHA liaises with the Head of School/ Function and technicians to schedule environmental monitoring with an external consultant.
- External consultant carries out monitoring and issues a report with corrective actions and timelines where necessary.
- School/ Function and SHW Office implements corrective actions.
