Academic Writing Tutor

Charitha Marcus is a Ph.D. candidate and Irish Research Council scholar attached to the School of Media, at TU Dublin. Charitha has been awarded the prestigious Eda Sagarra Medal of Excellence by the Irish Research Council in the year 2022, as the highest-scoring government of Ireland scholarship holder in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

Charitha is currently conducting her Ph.D. project on constructing female identity in Irish politics: The role of digital media. She has worked as a junior lecturer in communication at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka before her Ph.D.

Charitha has career experience in creative writing in the advertising industry in Sri Lanka and India. She is interested in sharing her experience with students who need guidance on improving their communication and academic writing skills.

Charitha's hours are on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening.
