What circumstances are considered an emergency?

The Emergency Assistance fund is not to be used in place of the General Student Assistance Schemes, and should only be used for the following purposes;

Students who need to vacate accommodation urgently.
Students who suffer bereavement and require immediate assistance to attend the funeral or related expenses.
Travel of an urgent or essential nature

What is the most I can receive in an emergency situation? Is it a set amount or does it vary depending on the circumstance?

It varies, depending on circumstances.

I am a part-time student, am I eligible for emergency assistance?

I have already been awarded assistance under the Student Assistance Fund. Can I still apply for Emergency Assistance?

Yes, however the assistance you received under the Student Assistance Fund will be taken into consideration.
