ARISE Connects with Industry at the National Construction Summit 2026
ARISE recently attended and exhibited at the National Construction Summit, one of Ireland’s key events for the construction and built environment sector.
It was a great opportunity to meet companies, hear what’s happening across the industry, and explore how TU Dublin can support innovation.
A highlight was our colleague, Dr Joseph Little, speaking on sustainable construction and circularity. He focused on energy efficiency and creating healthier, more resilient buildings, which drew strong interest on the day. He focused on energy efficiency and lowering embodied and operational carbon in buildings, which drew strong interest on the day. He also proposed a new part-time postgraduate programme at TU Dublin in Material Innovation and Circular Building Design (MICBD). A feedback link was shared with industry to gather input and help further shape the proposal.
Across the Summit, key themes included sustainability, digital tools such as BIM and AI, modern construction methods, and reducing carbon. These areas closely align with ARISE’s work supporting Enterprises to access TU Dublin’s research expertise.
At the ARISE stand, there were plenty of positive conversations with companies interested in innovating, whether through new materials, improved processes, or sustainability solutions.
We’ll be following up with contacts made and look forward to building on these connections.
If you’re working in this space and would like to explore collaboration opportunities, feel free to get in touch with the ARISE team.
A special thanks to BERIC and Ali Abbass and ARISE BDM, Sudeepth Nair, who supported the stand across both days.
