Facilities
The CREST Technology Gateway is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-27
Within the CASH Building in TU Dublin Tallaght and the FOCAS Institute we have dedicated laboratories for chemical synthesis and materials analysis. We also share characterisation facilities with the TU Dublin Research Hubs with whom we collaborate.
We have a dedicated Exposure Laboratory situated within the TU Dublin Aungier St campus. These are used exclusively for industrial research and complete confidentiality can be guaranteed.
We operate and maintain several high specification instruments and equipment suites as detailed below:
Physical Analysis - Bend Tests
Physical Analysis Surface Roughness

Typical samples:
Samples that are suitable for humidity testing include coated materials, solar panels, electrical
components, adhesives, glazing products, pharmaceutical containers etc.
Standards:
Samples are prepared and tested following international standards including ASTM D 2247 – 02,
and I.S EN ISO 6270.
