Ita Kennelly

Academic Developer

With a career spanning industry, public and educational sectors, Ita has worked in a number of roles as lecturer, academic developer and programme director. In her previous role, she was promoted to associate professor and was responsible for leading the curriculum design for a number of innovative educational initiatives including a tertiary degree. Ita has a number of publications including a book, book chapter and research papers. She has also presented at a range of conferences nationally and internationally and has been a recipient of Research Ireland’s New Foundations funding award. Ita has a Doctorate in Education (EdD), an MA in Higher Education, and is currently undertaking further studies in creative writing. Her research interests include curriculum, academic writing, critical thinking, reflective practice, creativity and student success.
