Policy for late assessment/assignment

Assessments submitted

  • Up to one week late incur a penalty of 25%

  • Up to two weeks late incur a penalty of 50%

  • Up to three weeks late incur a penalty of 75%

  • Up to four weeks late 100% (i.e. no credit).

Where an assessment/assignment is subsequently submitted at the next examination sitting the maximum marks available are 40% of the component marks available.

Where there is a medical certificate, lecturer may use their discretion. 

The decision may be appealed to the Head of Discipline in the first instance and then to Head of School.

For Tallaght Campus:

Knives must be ordered/purchased online at www.mcdonnells.ie/student in advance.

For City Campus:

Knives can be collected in TU Dublin, City Campus – Central Quad (Culinary Shop)

on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th September.

 

For Tallaght Campus:

Knives can be collected on campus week commencing 18th September.
