Professional Development

The School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology works closely with the culinary, hospitality, bakery, beverage, and food product development industries. We provide excellent opportunities for suitably qualified professionals to upskill, enhance their expertise, and progress into senior roles in Ireland and internationally as chefs, bakers, bar managers, restaurateurs, food product developers, and entrepreneurs.

We recognise that many learners are balancing demanding careers, family commitments, and other responsibilities. To support flexible learning, the School offers a wide range of modules from our full-time programmes on a Continuing Professional Development basis, allowing you to study part-time while continuing to work.

Successful completion of an individual module leads to a Minor Award Certificate and the award of valuable European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits. By completing modules over time, you can develop your knowledge and skills, gain recognised qualifications, and build ECTS credits that may contribute towards a higher qualification, including a degree, should you wish to continue your studies.
