Full-Time Undergraduate Fees
Your Total Student Fees are made up of a Student Contribution Charge and a Tuition Charge. In some programmes an additional charge may be included, details can be found on your programme information page.
European EU Fees
European Union nationals attending full-time undergraduate courses are normally only required to pay the student contribution as described above if they meet the Free Fees Initiative Criteria which can be read at https://hea.ie/funding-governance-performance/funding/student-finance/course-fees/
EU nationals who are following a second or subsequent third-level course, depending on the type and duration of the previous course attended will be liable for the total annual fees as per the table below:

Fees are set annually by the Department of Education & Skills
In order to assist students in paying student fees, the following payment options are in place for undergraduate Full-Time programmes:
- Option 1: Full Payment of Student Contribution & Tuition (if applicable) upon Registration.
- Option 2: Pay in Instalments as follows: (you will be provided with this option when you enter the Touchnet Portal)
- First Instalment: 25% of fees due upon Registration.
- Second Instalment: 25% of fees due by 31st October.
- Third Instalment: Remaining Balance (50%)of fees due by 31st January
- Option 3: If you have applied for a Student Grant through SUSI.
- You are not required to make payment at this time pending a decision on your application. You will be required to submit your SUSI (W...) reference when completing your Online Registration.
Non Payment Penalties /Non Submission of SUSI Reference
- First Instalment: You will not be able to Register.
- Second Instalment: After 31st October a hold will be placed on your account and your level of access will be restricted.
- Third Instalment: After 31st January, a higher level of hold will be applied and your access will be further restricted
Examination Results will be withheld until fees are paid in full.
Fees can be paid by logging on to (link to be advised)…… using your student number and Password.
Fee Responsibility and Liability
- All students are responsible and fully liable for payment of their own fees once registered. This commences upon registration, until you finish or withdraw from your course of study
- Students who apply for a SUSI grant/employer funding and are later refused are held fully liable for their relevant fee. You will need to contact Fees in relation to this via fees@tudublin.ie
- If you withdraw from a programme, please complete the relevant documentation at time of withdrawal. If you are in receipt of a SUSI grant, you will need to inform SUSI of your withdrawal.
Due to GDPR regulations, it should be noted that TU Dublin Fees Staff cannot talk to third parties on your behalf without your written consent, this includes parents, guardians, SUSI etc If you setup an Authorised User in TouchNet when making payments, this will permit us to discuss your account with only that person.
Students remain liable for fees for the period of registration up to the date they officially withdraw. Each year, for various reasons, some students do not complete their programme of study. Sometimes students accept a place at University and then change their minds and decide to take a year out and work or travel. If you do decide to withdraw, Please visit Withdrawing from Your Programme for further information. If you withdraw early from your Programme, you may be entitled to a refund of fees paid
Important Dates for refunds under withdrawal:
- Withdrawal up to the 31st October, a full refund of any fees paid will be made
- Withdrawal from 1st November to 31st January, a 50% refund will be made, you will be liable for 50% of your fees
- Withdrawal after 31st January, no refund will be made and you will remain liable for 100% of your fees
