I’m one of seven siblings, born and raised in Clara, right in the heart of the Irish midlands. My journey with the Congregation began thanks to a lifelong family friend who introduced me to the late Fr Jack McArdle sscc. I’ll never forget the moment Jack asked me, “Did you have anything to eat?” It was such a simple question, but it completely threw me—and in the best way. That moment reshaped the direction of my life.
Since then, ministry and study have taken me across the Atlantic and back again. I’ve worked in high schools, parishes, and served as a university campus minister in the States. Along the way, I pursued further studies and became a licensed psychotherapist, which now complements my work as a parish priest.
Now, I’m excited to begin a new chapter as chaplain at TU Dublin. I’m really looking forward to walking alongside students and staff—offering a listening ear, creating space for reflection, and supporting people through the ups and downs of university life. My hope is to help build a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
