Inspiration takes many forms. Sometimes it comes from one story, shared at the right time.

What is it?

The Spotlight Role Models Series is a short video interview series featuring trailblazers across sectors and life stages, capturing the moments, choices, and turning points that shaped their path.

Why we do it

Visibility and relatable examples shape confidence and progression. A 2025 UK survey commissioned by Vodafone UK found that 60% of women say the presence of women in leadership influences whether they apply for or accept a role. A 2023 survey from Robert Walters, conducted as part of its “Empowering Women in the Workplace” research, found that 30% of women surveyed identified a lack of strong female role models at work as a barrier to progression.

The Spotlight Role Models Series exists to strengthen gender equality through visibility, representation, and shared perspective. Each feature aims to highlight a person’s path, their choices, and their personal definition of success.

How it works

• We record your interview at a time and place that suits you - TU Dublin, your workplace, an elected location or online.
• The final feature will be shared for your approval before publishing on TrailblazHER™ channels and website.
