GA4 Reports

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) reports can be downloaded on request. Contact web@tudublin.ie with required dates and web pages.

There are many metrics that we can track on the website. See core metrics below:

Metric Description
Views This metric shows how many times users have viewed specific pages on your site. Sorting by views will give you an idea for which pages on your website are most popular and which are least popular.
Conversions Conversion events are important actions that can be taken on the website, such as contact form submissions, video views, downloads etc.
Sessions Session data is important to understand how much traffic your website is generating and which sources that traffic is coming from.
Total Users/New Users/Returning Users Users displays the number of unique users who interacted with your website for the first time or returned etc.
Engagement Rate Engagement rate tracks the number of engaged sessions divided by total sessions. Engaged sessions are counted when the session lasts longer than 10 seconds, results in one or more conversion events, or results in two or more page/screen views.

Note: as a result of GDPR regulations, introduced in November 2020, we can only capture traffic from users who “accept all cookies” - when the user clicks this button it fires up Google Analytics. On our most recent investigation on the cookie software, approx. 70% of users who visited the site “accepted all cookies” so the data in the analytics report reflects approx. 70% of the traffic to the site.
