Published: Sunday 8 February 2026 - 10:23

The School welcomed teams from ten countries - the University of South Carolina, University of Hong Kong Business School, University of Pan Americana (Mexico), HEC Montreal, University of Amsterdam, University of Glasgow, Manchester Metropolitan University, Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (Germany), EPHEC Business School Belgium and TU Dublin - to the 8th edition of the annual TU Dublin Strategy “Boot Camp” and Case Competition.

The Dean and the Head of School welcomed all the participating institutions and Roisin commented in particular on the platform the week was providing for the exchange of business ideas, bridging cultural perspectives, and building lasting international connections. We were delighted that the MPO School Executive team could join us for the kickstart session of the week.

In addition to interactive sessions on Storytelling, Marketing, HR, AI, Finances and Advanced ppt, led by Dr. Eoghan O’ Grady and Pat de Mouy (University of South Carolina) with input from all coaches (faculty advisors), the opportunity for direct industry engagement and cultural experiences were built into the programme, with the delegates visiting Google's EMEA's HQ in Boland Mills and the Guinness Storehouse.  Sincere thanks to Caoimhe Nugent (Senior New Business Accounts Manager and TU903 Graduate) and her colleagues Stephen Howell (Technical Curriculum Developer), Janie Le (L&D Programme Development Manager) and Kwanale Nomoyi (Retail Market Lead) for a fantastic set of workshops.

Special thanks to Bill O’ Mahony and Carles Castro Prat for all their help prior to and during the event.  Their management of the event was first class.

Following our evaluation of the event, the cross-university feedback was very positive and all schools have indicated they want to return next year – always an indicator of success! Given the highly complimentary reaction from coaches and students alike, and the interest from so many other business schools, the intention is to increase the number of participating schools for the next 9th edition in January 2027.
