Once public health guidelines allow, there will be two large canteens on campus. One is located in the heart of the campus at Rathdown House, while the other will be located in the Lower House. There will also be a selection of coffee shops in several buildings. A real treat will be the bakehouse and restaurant run by our culinary arts students in the Central Quad.
Rathdown House Canteen
Smithfield, located beside the campus, is a busy residential, commercial and cultural district with a host of amenities and attractions, including various cafés, restaurants and shops. More cafés, bakeries and shops can be found in both Stoneybatter and Phibsborough, while more traditional fare can be found in the many public houses in the area, some of which are among Dublin’s best known. The area surrounding the campus is served by a variety of supermarkets and convenience stores.
