Media Library
Add media items to the media library via the Content menu and select Media Library.

Choose the category in which you want to add the media item (image, pdf etc.) and select +Add media. The +Add media option will be only be visible on categories that you have access to.


- Click to choose a file or drag and drop the file here.
- Enter a descriptive Name and Description / Alt Text.
- Select Save changes.
To link to an image or file in your content, select Insert > Insert file link or image or select the icon in the HTML editor.
- Choose an image or document from the Media Library to select a file already in the media library
- Select +Add media to upload a new file
Note: Image file sizes should be less than 2MB.
Alt Text
It is requirement in the media library to add alt text to all media items for accessibility reasons. Alt text refers to the invisible description of an image and is read aloud to visually impaired users using screen reader software.
- Descriptive Alt Text is very important for accessibility and improves SEO.
- Files should be optimised for web and should have descriptive names.
- There is a 400 characters limit for the Description / Alt text field.
- File names should not include invalid characters.
To edit the text that appears as the file link - double click on the link and insert text in set media
attributes.
