Course Title: Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems

The Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems is a Level 8 Honours degree offered at the Blanchardstown Campus. It is designed to help students understand how to use technology to solve real business problems, combining strategic business thinking with practical IT skills.
By the time you graduate, you’ll be able to:
- Make informed decisions and solve problems in both business and IT settings.
- Work effectively where business and technology meet.
- Combine business knowledge with IT systems to improve operations.
- Manage projects related to system development and implementation.

Work Placement & Erasmus Opportunities
In Year 3, Semester 2, students can take part in a 30-credit work placement or Erasmus exchange. If you’re unable to participate, there are alternative academic options available. These may include:
- Projects with GrowthHub or ASCNet/Global Innovation Teams
- ERP Simulation exercises
- Community-Based Learning Projects
IT Requirements
While students are encouraged to use their own laptops or PCs, the campus provides access to well-equipped computer labs if needed.

English Language Requirements
If English is not your first language you will need to provide evidence of your English language proficiency as detailed on our website. Applicants for this course should have a minimum IELTS (Academic Version) English Proficiency of 6.0 overall (or equivalent).
